Worried whether you will be able to pass CA Intermediate with just 1 month to go for exams? Worry not. Just follow some simple steps to succeed. Read on...
If you want, you can! Will power, proper dedication and planning will defintely get you through. The key is to ensure some important points are taken care of:
Make sure to use ICAI material - resources like Study Material, RTP, MTP, Suggested Answers, Past Papers, etc. Whatsoever the tuition centres may claim, more than 60% of the question paper in CA exams still comes from ICAI publications.
If you find any material does not suit you, or you find the language difficult, it is best to find any good author's book. For example, for Direct Tax, I kept the ICAI material aside because it was outdated, and studied from Vinod Singhania's book. I ended up scoring 80 marks in Tax in CA Intermediate.
Try to minimize the volume you are studying to the bare minimum, without going for more than one reference book per subject.
Make a study plan that suits you and do not burden yourself. It is necessary to be disciplined about following that study plan religiously with short milestones for motivation and positivity.
Prepare short notes in your own handwriting for last minute revision.
Ensure to reach out for help in case of doubts or queries. All CA members are now within reach at the click of a button, and forums such as this website are also there to extend help
Try to have a strong grip on at least 2 subjects from each group so that you can secure 60+ in them. This will solve your aggregate problem.
Revise your subjects at least once before exams. Remember, you will barely have 20 hours in the gap between 2 exams. So it is essential that you study in a manner which would help you revise quickly in a short period of time.
Take care of your health, specially mental health. Ensure regular breaks, yoga and meditation to strengthen memory and positivity of the mind.
Lastly, try to keep distractions at bay. The sky is not going to fall if you stay away from social media for one month before the exams. It is your career and the opportunity once lost, might never come back again.
Most importantly, come out of the self-doubt of "CAN I". Rather approach the exams with the confidence of "I CAN".
